I had all my usual intentions to sit down and write today, and alas, it is 9:20pm and my best laid plans and I are sitting here giving each other the side-eye. Summer has arrived at my house this week, with one kid done school and the other finishing up tomorrow. The pool needs to be cleaned, patio furniture needs to be hosed down, and snacks need to be bought for the gaggle of teenage girls descending upon us in the morning. It’s all very, very good and for a brief moment today I was shaken from my brain foggy, groggy malaise and found myself enjoying mowing the lawn and pegging clothing on the line (that one’s for my Field Notes girlies).
Though my lack of focus and sudden summer vibes made me consider skipping this week’s note, I have some great upcoming shows and a great podcast episode I don’t want you to miss out on because I’m a fuzz brain. So without further ado, here is the good stuff for this week.
